Remembering a Hero and an Angel:
Brian Bluhm

by Kevin Caruso

Brian Bluhm, 25; graduate student; from Louisville, Kentucky; earned his bachelor’s in civil engineering at Virginia Tech.

Brian was a devout Christian. “He was a Christian man who loved God first and everybody else after that,” said Matt Dunham, a friend of Brian. “He was a [Christian] mentor.”

He attended Bible study and church on a regular basis.

And he was a big sports and baseball fan – his favorite team was the Detroit Tigers. “Under normal circumstances he was a quiet guy, but when it comes to sports, he’ll yell and jump and cheer with the rest of us,” said friend Matt Conner.

But most of all, Brian was a man who devoted his live to Jesus Christ. “Brian was a Christian, and first and foremost that’s what he would want to be remembered as,” said friend Michael Marshall.

Brian Bluhm is one of the greatest angels in Heaven.

We miss him.

We honor him.

We love him.

We will never forget him.
